No marriage certificate

Hi,
My partner and the father of my 2 children wants to come and stay with me here in China, I have a Z working visa , the problem is we are not legally married but are together for 14 years now. What visa can I apply for him?

If so, I’m afraid he can only apply for a tourist L type for China.
