places to visit around zhangjiajie

Question

I have 8 fulls day for my trip in June and gonna be starting at Zhangjiajie (3 days maybe). Planning to spend 2-3 days (day 7&8) in Phoenix Ancient Town and then catching a train from Huaihua to Guangzhou on day 9. Can you suggest some places to visit for that 3-4 days in between Zhangjiajie and Phoenix Town?

Hi, the suggested visiting time for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is 2 or 3 days. Besides the national park, there are also some other famous attactions in Zhangjiajie worth your visiting. I would recommend the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area (4-6 hours), Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon including the glass bridge (3-4 hours), Baofeng Lake (2-3 hours) and Huanglong Cave (3-4 hours) to you. If you like rafting, you can take a day trip to Mengdong river. Then go ahead to Phoenix Ancient Town afterwards.
