Question

In case I want to visit Song Mountain and Shaolin Temple, which place is easier to reach there, Staying night in Luoyang or Zhengzhou? Is Shaolin temple and Song Mountain is in the same location? After staying 2 night, we plan to go to Guilin with train. Is it ok to visit song mountain during end of December, due to the cool weather? Thank you.

Bandi, as I know, Shaolin Temple is one of the scenic spots of Song Mountain. It is suggested you stay night in Luoyang. You can take a train from Xian to Luoyang in around 5h. Upon arrival, take a bus from the opposite bus station to the Shaolin Temple.It should be a little bit cold to visit Song Mountain during the end of December. The temperature might range from 30F to 45F. If you decide to visit there in December, make sure you prepare some down jackets and thick sweaters.
