Regarding my Application to visit China in June 2017
I have a few concerns:
(1) Can I apply by mail?
(2) If so, which is the preferred carrier, USPS, UPS or FedEx?
(3) Do I need to send my actual passport or a copy?
(4) How long will it take to receive my visa?
Sincerely,
Tara R Sands

Tara, no, you cannot apply by mail. You need to submit the application in person or ask someone else to do that on your behalf.
You need to submit both your original passport and copy of its data page.
After you submit the application, usually, you need to wait for 4 working days to get the result.
