I have a UK passport and wish to make multiple trips to China over the next five years. Can I get a single multiple year, multiple entry business (F) type?

Bruce, you can try to apply for a two-year multi-entry business M type. Generally speaking, if you go to China for business purposes, you should apply for an M type rather than an F type.
