what's the process to change from student visa (x) to spouse type (s1,s2)?

Dear Reader,I'm a holder of Z type in the People's Republic of China. My husband is on X type. We want to transfer his present X type to a Spouse type, please suggest as to how we must go about it?

He should prepare his passport, passport copy, registration form of temporary residence, application form, recent photo, your marriage certificate, an invitation letter from you, and your passport and residence permit. Then he can go to the local exit and entry administration to change his X type to an S1 or S2 type. After that, he can renew his residence permit.
