About:Beijing - Xian High Speed Train

Better to go: Xian=>Shanhaiguan or Xian=>Beijing=>Shanhaiguan

Hi,

I want to visit Shanhaiguan after my Xian stop. But I am wondering whether I should go straight to Shanhaiguan or to Beijing stopover and then to Shanhaiguan.

In terms of cost and time savings, which is the better option. Thanks.

If there is a diect high speed ride, it is usually the fastest and cheapest way. To transfer in other cities, you need time between two trips for connection as well.

Thanks Kirsten. But the direct Xian to Shanhaiguan train travels for around 24 hrs. I think it is rather crazy to be onboard so long. I think stopover at Beijing before traveling over is better.
