I am flying to Thailand but have a 12 hour layover in Shanghai and 4 hour layover in chengdu. I only plan to leave the airport in Shanghai, but stay in the airport in Chengdu. Will I qualify for the 72 hour visa in Shanghai if I show my airline ticket to Chengdu then on to Phuket?
