About:China Work Visa

will we be able to work

My partner and I have both been offered a full time job of working within a school in Beijing, teaching English. However, we both don't have a degree. We do both have many years experience of working within a school setting and have completed a TEFL course.
Can we apply for a Z working visa? IF NOT what type would we need to apply for? Would we still be able to work?
Thanks

You have to apply for a Z type in order to be able to work in China. So if you can't get the Z type, I'm afraid you are not allowed to work there. However, some cities may give you the Z type even though you don't have a degree. You can have a try. Good luck!

You can apply for a different one but you can only work in China with the Z type.

Great - many thanks.
I'm wanting to speak to someone from the embassy to ask if we can apply for the Z type without a degree but I can't seem to be able to speak to anyone or book an advice appointment. Do you know how I could speak to someone from the London Chinese embassy? Thanks

You may contact the embassy by dialing 020-7631 1430 between 09:00-12:00am and 2:00-4:00pm on working days.
