About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Trying to figure out which visa I qualify for. I'm flying from San Francisco to Shanghai,

arrive 3/26 at 6:20pm. I then fly from Shanghai to Seoul, depart 3/28 at 12:15pm. On my return flight, I fly into Shanghai from Taipei, arrive 4/11 at 5:05pm. Then I fly out from Shanghai to San Francisco on 4/12 at 1pm. Would I apply for the 72 hr or the 144 hr free transit or do I need to get another type of visa?

Gee, yes, you are eligible for the free transit for both legs of your trip in Shanghai. No visa will be needed then.
