Health check required in my home country

HI,

My company in China says I need to do a health check in my hone country and send it to China before they can apply for work permit license and send me the invitation letter.
They said I should contact my local Chinese embassy here in my home country about the details, but they answered that there is no need for medical check for Z-Visa.
So I replied to them that this is for the work permit.
They haven't answered yet.
So for the latest rules as of now 2017 do I need to do a medical check before I can apply for Z-type or is it enough if I do it when I arrive in China before applying for residence permit.
If they insist about the medical check, what are the details of the health examination and do I need to have it notarized, legalized, certified and sealed with doctors signature on all pages and sent to the moon and back wit ha space shuttle??

I am going through the same thing right now. I was told the medical check is needed for the work permit, but it does not need to be authenticated. Getting mine done end of this week, will see if this works.
