About:China Visa Exemption

Hi, my flight routine is:Vancouver-Guangzhou (3 hour layover)- Dalian (9hour layover)- Korea

I will arrive at Dalian Airport at 11:30 pm and stopover until 8:30am. I heard that Dalian airport closes at 2 am so I will have to go outside of the airport and wait until the airport opens. In this case, do I need a visa even though my total layover length is less than 24 hours??

Jenn, no, you don’t need it because you are able to use the 24 hour direct transit. You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit and then you can go outside the airport.
