About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am staying for 72 aprox in shanghai, so need the 72/h free transit.

Hello,
Im flying from chiang mai, and them leaving china to go back home (spain) after 3 days in shanghai. Do i need to apply for the visa in chiangmai or can i do it on arrival at the airport of china?

You don't need to apply for a visa because you can have free transit in Shanghai if you travel like that. You should print out your flight confirmation from Shanghai to Spain and present it when you check-in at Chiang Mai, and tell them you are in TWOV. You also need to present your passport and flight confirmation when you arrive in Shanghai.
