What do you recommend as far as converting our US dollars to Chinese Yuan?

Is it best to wait and do the exchange once we arrive to China? And, shall we do so at the airport, or through an ATM, once we arrive??

You may take a small amount of Chinese Yuan before arrival and exchange the money in China. The airport, hotels or local banks all offer currency exchange service. The local banks offer the most favorable exchange rate.
