Beijing to Xi'an trip ticket

Hi There,
We are coming to Beijing on March 24th and staying there till March 31st, then wish to travel t Xi'an from Bejing West Station.
My question is, do you think it will be ok to buy the tickets when we get there (like the 25th or 26th march - after we settle in) and what is the best way to buy them? online or go to the train station.

You can buy it at the station after your arrival in Beijing. However, I would suggest you to check the ticket availability onlin often when the date is approaching. As i know there is a holiday around the begining of April, so the ticket availability may be influenced. Tthe ticket availability will kelp you with the decision of booking online in advance or buy it after your arrival.

Most booking website offer availability information as well, like this one. You can check the schedule by your date. Once the ticket begin for sale, there will be ticket availability listed for each seat class. For example: "99 seats" means still many tickets left.

Awesome thank you. Sorry to be a annoying. Will we have to go to Beijing west to buy the tickets or is there somewhere closer to our hotel (we are staying relatively close to the forbidden city). Thank you again

You do not have to go for the departure station. You can buy the ticket at any railway station. For forbidden city, Beijing Railway Station should be a closer one.
