From US to Shanghai by changing domestic plane in Beijing, then Shanghai fly out to Taipei

May I qualify for visa free transit since the Air China does stop in Beijing to enter China before I can change plane to fly to Shanghai on the same day. From Shanghai, I fly directly out to Taipei.
