Obtain a visa twice with the same application material, possible?

Hello,

I just arrived in China with a X1 type, since in 10 days I should go to Hong Kong attending a conference, my visa will expire. I won't be able to obtain a residence permit since the time is too short, can I apply in Hong Kong for another X1 type, using the same documents I gave the first time?
