About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

YUL-SGN (stay 12 weeks), SGN-CAN(stay 4 days), CAN-SGN (stay 1 day) and SGN-YUL, good for visa 144?

If I may travel by ground to Hong Kong take the plane from there to SGN is it valid for 144 hour free transit and the alternate route CAN-SGN (if not enough time) is it valid too? All that still on the same itinerary from 5th dec16 to 1st march 17. See preceding question.

If you travel like YUL-SGN-CAN- SGN-YUL, you won’t qualify for the free transit program.
If you travel like YUL-SGN-CAN-HKG-SGN-YUL, you will qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Guangzhou.
