About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting Shanghai and Nanjing

Route from Melbourne (AU) - HK - Shanghai - HK - Melbourne would be OK for free transit with New Zealand passport May I travel without visa to Shanghai?

Qing, no, you cannot. If you travel like that, you cannot enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. A visa is needed for that.
