My friends and I went to Beijing last May 2015 thru a group visa, we were not able to retain a copy, can you assist us on how to solve this requirement?

You can simply imply this on your application form. It's normal that you don't have a copy of the group visa because it's a paper for all group members. If the embassy asks for it, you can turn to the tour agency you used for help.
