About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting Beijing. Would I qualify for a 72 hour visa

I arrive on a Sunday at noon from London via Hong Kong and am leaving the following Wednesday at 10.00am, returning to Hong Kong. So a total stay of 70 hours. i will be spending the duration of the stay in Beijing with maybe a small trip to visit a section of The Wall.

Sorry but it doesn't work as your route is HK - PEK - HK.
It's not a transit.
If you fly to another destination outside China beside HongKong then you're eligible for the 72h twov.

Sorry, as you will enter Beijing from HK and go back to HK, this route is not valid as a transit route, so I'm afraid you are not eligible for the 72h free transit policy.
