P Akers, you are suggested to visit Longmen Grottoes and White Horse Temple on the first day. High speed trains from Xian will arrive at LY Longmen Railway Station, not the train station which have direct buses to Shaolin Temple. From there, you can take bus no. 71 to reach the Longmen Grottes. After that, take bus 53 or 60 to Guanlin Shichang and then transfer to bus no. 58 to reach the White Horse Temple. When the visiting is over, take bus no. 56 to LY Railway Station and find a nearby hotel to spend the night.
The next morning, take a direct bus LY bus station next to the train station to the Shaolin Temple. After that, you can take a sightseeing bus to reach Longmen Grottes, then take bus no. 67 to Longmen Railway Station in around 20min to take your return train to Xian.
