About:China Travel Tips

We plan to stay 3 nights in Fenghuang in April to relax, explore and learn about the local culture.

We are already quite fascinated by what we have read about Fenghuang. So we would like a good comfortable hotel that is convenient for us to visit the Fenghuang Ancient City, Fenghuang Town and the many sights along the river. Can you suggest one or two good hotels where we could stay?
We are also worried about carrying our luggage across bridges to the hotel or having problem finding the hotel. Better still perhaps give us an itinerary for the 3 day visit.

You are suggested to check in the Yijie Hostel near the Wind and Rain Bridge or TOWO Hotel close to Nanhua Gate.
Day 01: take a full exploration of the Fenghuang Ancient City
Day 02: Valley of Miao People & Shanjiang Miao Village
Day 03: Ximen Gorge

I didn't go to the Glass Bridge before, but I found it is inside Zhangjiajie Canyon Scenic Area.
I heard there are frequent buses to Cili from Zhangjiajie Passenger Center next to the Railway Station. These buses will stop at Zhangjiajie Canyon in the midway. You can take that bus to reach the scenic area.
Besides the glass bridge, there is also a glass pathway at Tianmen Mountain.

Thanks Louise for your helpful information. Did you visit Zhangjiajie and walk the new glass bridge? I also need some information . How do I go there from Yongding w here I will be staying? I want to spend more time on the sky bridge. Also is there another glass bridge apart from this one? Appreciate if you could advise me if you know. Thanks in advance. Woon
