About:Visa Policy of China

my son viviting China for 5 days with his school

Hello.
We live in Singapore.
My son of 13 years old holds a Belgian (from Belgium) passport.
He is travelling to Shangai with his school (Lycée Français de Singapour/LFS) for 5 days at the end of March.
Do I have to provide the Chineese embassy in Singapore with my banking statements for the last 3 months like the French citizen must do? or is the Belgian nationality different: no need to provide banking statement when applying for his visa?
Many thanks for your prompt reply.

Catherine, if the consular officers don’t require you to provide the bank statement, you don’t need to provide that. Otherwise, the bank statement is needed.
