We are starting our trip in Beijing for the Tsar's train. We will get a letter of invitation from them. However, we wish to come into Beijing a week prior to the departure of that tour in order to see other points of interest such as a side trip to Xiam and the Beijing Zoo. Will we need proof of every hotel (Xiam and Beijing) or will the invitation letter be enough?

If you have the invitation letter, the hotel booking record may not be necessary anymore.
