23 hours layover

hello, I am an indonesian flying from Indonesia to LAX with a 23 hours layover in Guangzhou. Can I get the 24 hours transit at the Guangzhou airport or do I need to apply in advance? How does it work? Thanks a lot!

Risma, yes, you can. You don’t need to apply in advance. After you arrive, you can go to the immigration office to apply for the 24 hour direct transit and the temporary stay permit by providing your passport, the air tickets and valid visa for US. Afterwards, you can leave the airport.
