About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa to Shanghai

Dear Sirs, we have Polish passports and plan to travel via ship from
Singapore -> Viet Nam -> Hong-Kong -> Okinawa -> Shanghai.
While we are in Shanghai we would like to stay overnight and the next day fly back to Singapore.

is it enough if we apply for the Transfer Visa, or we need a normal Visas ?

Best regards,
Marek

Marek, I don't think you need to apply for it because you qualify for 144hrs free transit policy.

This is exactly what I am trying to confirm.
The cruise starts in Singapore (with 5 stops on the way in other countries) and arrives to Shanghai - I am planning to fly back to Singapore - and for the transit visa my destination flight must be different to where you arrived from.
So the question is: since the last stop is Okinawa, will it be still considered as coming from Singapore (which is the starting point) and I will fly to Singapore ?

It will be considered as arriving from Okinawa as it's the last port of call.
