badaling & longqing ice festival

Question

Hello,Please could you advise the entrance fees for both the Bandaling section of the Great Wall and also the Longqing Gorge Ice Festival (is it 140 RMB?).  We would like to visit both in one day, and ideally see the gorge in both daylight and darkness.  If we arrive at Badaling at midday would there be enough time to do both locations justice, including gorge boat trip?Thankyou

Day trip for these two sites is possible but you'd better leave yourselves more time and arrive at Badaling earlier. The entrance fee for Badaling is CNY 35 from November to next March. For Longqing Gorge, it is CNY100 for the Ice Lantern Festival, the entrance fee included but the boat cruise excluded. I'm afraid the boat cruise is not availabe these days. From Badaling, you can take S2 train to Yanqing, then change to bus 875 to Longqing Gorge.

Thanks Hank. We are now thinking to be at Badaling 11:00-14:00 (incl time for lunch), then Lonqing 15:00-19:00 (I didn't realise the boat was closed in Winter, but assume still plenty to see in daylight?).  Do you believe this is reasonable?  Many thanks for the advice
