How to get from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Meizhou? How long and how much?

From the East Railway Station, you can take metro line 3 to Yantang Station and line 6 to Tianhe Bus Station, Exit B. After arriving, you will find several direct coaches to Meizhou. The bus schedules are from 06:55 to 22:00. The duration is around 5 hours. The ticket fare is CNY 170 per person.

Thanks, Mathhew. How about by train? Do we need to buy the train ticket in advance or can buy on the spot especially for soft seat? I am asking this because I am not sure of the departure date. If I have bought in advance, can I change the date?

There are three trains a day departing from GZ East Railway Station to Meizhou at 9:20, 15:20, and 20:47. You will arrive at Meizhou in around 5.5h. It is suggested you book the train tickets in advance. You can either go to the train station or book with TravelChinaGuide via booking@travelchinaguide.com.
No worry. You can change the departure date once.
