Repairs to the West and NW1 of house in 2017

Hi there, I hope you can help. I am a 1956 Monkey with a house facing 19 deg North. I urgently need some repairs to the West and NW1 exterior of my house. I am concerned about the timing as what I have read suggest this year, and even perhaps 2018, are not good years to do work in this area. I hope you can suggest a good time to do this work. I am in New Zealand if that makes a difference.
Kind regards,
Kerry

Kerry,
Find out when was your house built. Based on that, we could see if it is favorable for that entity to have
repairs done on it, and when. Since your house is on the Southern Hemisphere of the Earth, it was a good idea that is aligned to face north. Many houses which are built to face the street, and actually face South, on this hemisphere, are at a disadvantage. Good luck.

Kerry,
Since you only know when you’ve moved in (2006 in the Year of the Fire Dog), I would advise you to wait until 2018 and then do the required repairs. Good luck.

Thank you Peter, I appreciate that. I wasn't very clear; I meant to say I relocated an old house from a house sales yard on to the section (block) in March 2016. I moved into the house in June of that year once it had foundations, plumbing etc. Hopefully your advice is still good.
Kind regards,
Kerry

Kerry,
Thank you for clarifying your story. Because as a building, it was built in an unknown year, we can only take in the consideration when you've moved in, about June 2016, because that entity will be there until you may sell the house and move out of it. What I said earlier still stands. Good luck with your future home improvements, but be careful to stay well within the budget and don't make it into a money pit.
