About:Kunming South Railway Station

Subway from Kunming Railway station to Kunming South Railway

How long does the trip via subway take from to Kunming South? And do I take line only? I arrive in Kunming at 5am and leave from south station at 7.44am and want o know if I will make it.

I think you may need a taxi insteas. The subway are not available yet around 5am. The taxi may takes about 40min. With paper tickets in hand, it is still possible to catch the 7:44am ride.

How long does it take to travel? We are also traveling a similar route but later in the morning (830am).

You may walk to Huancheng South Road subway station, and take the line 1 to Chunrongjie then take the branch line to south station. The total duration may takes around 1 hour to 90min.

The subway is working now. A good and cheap choice to get into town.
