About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I qualify for the 72 hour visa. I will in Beijing a total of 75 hours.

I arrive in Beijing from Vancouver on Jan 30th at 4:25 PM. I leave for Phuket on Feb 2nd at 7 pm.

Dan, I saw a post recently saying that the 72-hour free transit period started from the midnight following your arrival, so I think it's possible for you to enjoy the 72-hour free transit, but you had better double check this with your airline.

You WILL BE DENIED BOARDING since Beijing enforces the 72-hour stay rigorously (must not exceed 72 hours), and people have been denied boarding in the past in this forum. Get a visa while there's still time.

Christ when will the administrators of this site correct their information? The outdated info has cost a fellow Canadian over $4,000 and ruined her impression of China.

Please stop flagging down me and other people's comments as genuine travelers have lost huge sum of money over this issue. If in doubt, call PEK immigration to confirm yourself.
