Do me an my family qualify for th 144 hour visa if ..

Travel - New Zealand -> Shanghai -> UK -> Vancouver -> New Zealand?

If you hold New Zealand passport and transit in Shanghai for not more than 144 hours, you will be able to use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. Nice trip!
