Can i change study visa to work Z type within China? What is the process? Thanks

It is possible for you to do that.
First, prepare the relevant documents: your passport, valid registration form of temporary residence, the application form, a bareheaded passport-sized color photo, work permit and the invitation letter of a duly authorized unit.
Second, submit the application to the exit and entry bureau to convert the student X type to work Z type.2
