Question

We three will arrive 1000hrs at HaiKou Airport. Hope to spend one day in Sanya. Should we go to Sanya directly from airport with our small bag, to save time? Our friend will leave after 2 nites. Any suggested itinerary for one day in Sanya and two days in HaiKou?

There are high speed trains available from Haikou Airport to Sanya, which is very convenient. The ride takes around 2 hours. For the itinerary, you are suggested to visit the Dadonghai, Nanshan Temple and Tianya Haijiao or Yalong Bay and Wuzhizhou Island for one day in Sanya. The recommended sightseeing spots in Haikou are Holiday Beach, Dongzhai Harbor Mangrove Natural Reserve Area, Arcaded Streets, Tropical Botanical Garden, etc. You may also consider staying in Sanya for two days and Haikou for one day.
