Day trips on the Yangtze River?

We are visiting yichang, and don't have time to do a river cruise. Any idea if you can do a ferry trip or day trip on the river?

It normally needs about 4-5 days to take the Yangtze River cruise. There is day trip on the river but it is mainly for Chinese groups and the cruise condition is quite limited. You are suggested to take bus to visit the Three Gorges Dam in Yichang.
