max.currency i can take out of china

Question

Hi Friends,I am working in china, since last one year. Its difficult to send the earned money to my home town(India) , from china banks here.I am getting monthly salary in RMB and also pay tax here, (having Tax receipt as well).Hence I need to carry out Chinese RMB  or USD to my country for exchange and deposit.How much currency (in RMB) or in USD I can carry cash out of china. If more than limit any procedure to follow or declared anything at china airport.Kindly advise..Thank you Very much for your help.Regards,Sunil

It is regulated that you can take CNY 20,000 or USD 5000 at most. If the currency exceeds the amout, you should declare it to the customs, and pay some tax for it. :)
