About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

French Passport holder, 72 hour say in Shanghai

I am a French passport holder traveling from Dubai to Shanghai and will return to Dubai. Can I apply for 72 hours free transit or must I have normal entry visa as returning to the same location?

Kate, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit because it’s not a transit at all. A normal visa is needed.
