Transfer Work Permit from old passport to new passport

Hi, I'm just about to receive my new passport, and I'm wondering if it's necessary to transfer my work permit into the new passport before I travel. I only have 7 days in between the new passport arriving and my departure. Any advice is helpful!

Kirsten, you may not need to make a transfer. You can hold both passports when traveling. It may be okay.

The new rules in 2017 work permit rule say that you need to transfer the resident permit to new passport on 10 days from entry of new passport. I have been fine 2000 yuan for not doing this in Suzhou.
