About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does a two-hour airport flight-connecting need a 72-hour-free-transit?

I am flying from Los Angles to Guangzhou, then connecting to another flight with the same airline to India within 2 hours. I plan to wait in the airport terminal and not to leave the airport during this 2 hours layover. Do I need to apply a 72-hour-free-transit for this trip?

My return flight is from India to Guangzhou, then connecting to a flight with the same airline company within 105 minutes to go back to Los Angles. Do I need to apply a 72-hour-free-visa for this return flight?

Thank you in advance for your response!

Anna, you don’t need to apply for a 72 hour free transit for that.
When you return, you don’t need to apply for that either if you won’t plan to leave the airport.
