shanghai to beijing by bullet train

Question

If I will to catch the ride from shanghai to Beijing by Bullet ride. How long does that take and  do I need to purchase the ticket in advance. If I do purchase it on line,  how do I pick up it or do they emailed the ticket to me.

The duration is about 6 hours, usually it would be better to buy the ticket in advance in case it sold out when the date is approaching. For boarding, you need to use the paper ticket. You can collect it at the railway statioin by using the pick up number and passengers passports.
