24 hour direct transit

If I have a flight the same day as the cruiseship is leaving, would they allow me in the Shanghai Pudong airport to enter the country so I can join the ship in less than 24 hours?

Ali, if you travel like country A-Pudong airport (24 hours) – country B, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit there to join the ship.
