About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Is a "red-ribbon" documents necessary from the Philippines or just a chinese translation of docs.

I plan to get my husband from the Philippines to stay with me here in China. How much do we need to prepare and specifically what docs we need to prepare from our govt. Is there a step by step process you can advice so at least we have a guidelines.. Thanks so much.. and more power..

You mean you want to apply for an S type for your husband? If yes, you need to prepare those documents containing your passport and its photocopy, the application form, a recently-taken passport-sized color photo, an invitation letter from you and copies of your passport and residence permit in China, as well as your marriage certificate.
Next, submit the application to the embassy of China in Philippines to apply for the S type.
There is no specific requirement for how much you need to prepare, but you need to make sure that you have enough money to support both of your expenses in China.
