About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

French National travelling from Taipei - Shanghai - Hong Kong - Taipei, 144h free transit

Hey, am I able to spend 4 days in Shanghai without a Visa travelling from Taipei into Shanghai then onto Hong Kong afterwards?

If so, what is the usual procedure with regards to boarding the flight from Taipei?

After far as I am aware, I need to produce documents of my connecting flight to my airline at my origin airport.

I will probably be travelling with Shanghai Airlines if it helps.

Thanks

Tom, you are able to enjoy the 144-hour free transit in Shanghai. After your board the flight from Taipei, you should tell the flight attendant you want to use this policy and they will inform this to Shanghai Immigration for you. Upon arrival, you need to show the onward connecting tickets and passport when going through the immigration check.
