How can I prosper in this situation?

I was born in 1974, and I'm presently working at a job that is interesting and exciting yet it feels overwhelming. Consistently over my life im given oportunities for leadership. I'm grateful for the opportunity yet, I feel that I'm missing something that I need to be a better leader. I think I'm too nice to people, and also to easy-going and it's creating problems.
The work environments very chaotic what do you recommend I can do to change it?
