About:Chinese Consulate in Perth

Is a visa required for a 3 day visit to Hong Kong (arrive via cruise ship; depart by air)?

We will not be entering the mainland; Hong Kong only. We have Australian passports.

No, it is not needed. You can go there freely for a stay of not more than 90 days.
