Will the Chinese Embassy in Qatar be open on the 25 th and 26th of December 2016?

I'm afraid it will be closed because of the Christmas Holiday.

Is it open today? I need to travel on the 30th and need to be able to go to the Embassy at the earliest. There is no response on the phone number. Don't you think it may be a good idea to have someone responding to calls so that one does not have to go to the Embassy to get a few questions answered?

Well, sorry for the inconvenience. I'm afraid the embassy is not open on Dec. 24 because it's Saturday.
