i'm planning a day trip from zhengzhou to visit the longmen grottoeswhite horse

1) Do you recommend bus or train from Zhengzhou? 2) If by train; which stations are more convenient? In Zhengzhou: Central or East station? And in Luoyang or Longmen? 3) Do I need to buy train tickets in advance? 4) Is it feasible to visit both places in 1 day? Many thanks in advance!

You are advised to take a high speed train from Zhengzhou East Railway Station to Luoyang Longmen Station. Upon arrival, you may take a taxi to the grottoes at a cost of CNY15. It is suggested you book the train tickets in advance just in case.There is no direct bus between the grottoes and the White Horse Temple. You may also consider hailing a taxi and the fare might be CNY60 or so.If you take an early train from Zhengzhou, one day is enough to cover the two spots.
