About:China Work Visa

I've been working for the last 7years in Beijing and have a work visa.

Recently my company has split and the new company has hired an agent to process a new Z type.
I have a Bachelors Degree from India
TEFL CERTIFICATE
7years experience in China

The agent processed the documents and gave me a reply that my Foreign Expert certificate cannot be issued because my Bachelors is from India. I can't get a Z type. Is that true? If you graduate from another country other than the 5 native speaking countries you aren't entitled for the Z type Graduation certificate is recognised all over the world and in my previous company howcome now they can't issue one?

Jason, I haven’t head of that. As far as I know, if you get the degree certificate attested by the embassy of China, you can probably apply for the work Z type. Maybe you can consult with the agent and see if there is a way to solve this problem.

From Dec. 1, 2016 on, Foreign Expert Certificate and Alien Employment Permit are combined to one type.
If your present residence permit for work is still valid, you can have it extened. But according to the new policy, you need to provide dual authenticated bachelor degree certificate if you previously have Foreign Expert Certificate.
