i will join a cruise and shanghai is where the ship will depart,do i need a visa?

If the cruise ship will go to a third country or region instead of the last one you come from, and you stay in Shanghai for not more than 24 hours, you may be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit, and then no visa will be needed. However, you’d better double check that with the cruise ship company.0
